About Kat
Kat Klockow (she/her,) also known by RedCat, started her creative life as a cartoonist, became a comics editor, and now runs a small publishing company called Corpse Flower Press.
Her current project is the fantasy-sci-fi graphic novel series Dinosaur Necromancer. She is also the artist for Zombio: A Space Adventure (2024) which her partner, Mike, wrote as an elementary school student.
Kat also works as the editor and contributing artist to The Cincinnati Cabinet of Curiosities (2020, 2022, 2025) comics anthology that highlights regional ghost stories, urban legends, and creepy cryptids around the Tri-State Cincinnati region. The sister-project to the Cincinnati Cabinet of Curiosities is the Hometown Haunts Podcast. Every week, Kat along with friends Jen Koehler and Christina Wald, come together to share stories of haunted places, cryptids, and urban legends from around the world. Listeners also send us their hometown haunts from their neck of the woods.
Kat grew up on a steady diet of Calvin and Hobbs with an infusion of manga while living in Japan. Her artwork combines the best of both worlds in sequential art.
She also is the author of two haunted history books by Schiffer Publishing; Haunted Hoosier Halls: Indiana University (2010) and Ohio’s Haunted Crimes (2016). 
Events and Workshops:
Since becoming a professional cartoonist, Kat has visited many public libraries, conventions, and schools to lead how-to-draw comic workshops around the United States. Working with teachers and librarians, Kat strives to create a fun and enriching environment to learn the art of making comics.

Previous Series and Projects:
Let’s Tell Ghost Stories (2022, 2023) A mini-comic series retelling true ghost encounters from the life of Kat Klockow. The first in the series is The Blue Man (2022) and the second is Poltergeist Pandemonium (2023).
Jinxed (2014-2018): A high fantasy series about a white mage who accidentally becomes possessed by the spirit of a former demon queen. It ran on Webtoon.
Miss Grey (2006-2009, 2019). A grumpy grim reaper travels the Earth reaping the souls of monsters, angels, and demons who throw the world out of balance. This was Kat’s first graphic novel series.
